Kathmandu: The Nepal Press Union, amidst controversy over membership in the Nepal Journalists Association, has drawn serious attention from the leadership of the Nepal Press Union. Union President Shiv Lamsal, issuing a press release, has urged the leadership of the Nepal Press Union to focus on the issue of impartiality with grave concern.
Lamsal has expressed dissatisfaction that despite the nearing of the final voter list for the union’s elections being made public, the union leadership has allegedly ignored any dialogue with the Nepal Press Union and proceeded unilaterally to advance the election process. He has called upon the union and the Central Election Committee not to escalate the election process until the membership dispute is resolved and acknowledged by all parties involved.
