Nepal’s Foreign Exchange Rates Drop for Most Currencies

Kathmandu, According to the exchange rates set by Nepal Rastra Bank, the value of most foreign currencies has decreased today.

For Sunday, the buying rate for one US Dollar is set at NPR 135.37 and the selling rate at NPR 135.97. Last Friday, the buying rate for the US Dollar was NPR 135.48 and the selling rate was NPR 136.08, marking a new record for the currency’s value.

On Sunday, the buying rate for the Euro is NPR 142.02 and the selling rate is NPR 142.65. The UK Pound Sterling is set at a buying rate of NPR 171.28 and a selling rate of NPR 172.04, while the Swiss Franc stands at a buying rate of NPR 151.46 and a selling rate of NPR 152.13.

The central bank has set the Australian Dollar buying rate at NPR 86.25 and selling rate at NPR 86.63. The Canadian Dollar is priced at NPR 95.21 for buying and NPR 95.63 for selling, while the Singapore Dollar is set at NPR 100.41 for buying and NPR 100.85 for selling.

Additionally, the buying rate for 10 Japanese Yen is NPR 8.82 and the selling rate is NPR 8.85. The Chinese Yuan is priced at NPR 18.61 for buying and NPR 18.69 for selling. The Saudi Riyal is set at a buying rate of NPR 36.02 and selling rate of NPR 36.18, while the Qatari Riyal stands at NPR 37.13 for buying and NPR 37.30 for selling.

According to the central bank, the Thai Baht is priced at NPR 3.96 for buying and NPR 3.98 for selling. The UAE Dirham is set at NPR 36.86 for buying and NPR 37.02 for selling. The Malaysian Ringgit stands at NPR 30.42 for buying and NPR 30.56 for selling. The South Korean Won is set at NPR 9.44 for buying and NPR 9.48 for selling, while the Swedish Krona is priced at NPR 12.33 for buying and NPR 12.39 for selling. The Danish Krone is priced at NPR 19.04 for buying and NPR 19.13 for selling.

The central bank has also set the Hong Kong Dollar at a buying rate of NPR 17.41 and selling rate of NPR 17.49. The Kuwaiti Dinar is priced at NPR 439.71 for buying and NPR 441.65 for selling, while the Bahraini Dinar is set at NPR 358.88 for buying and NPR 360.47 for selling.

The Omani Rial is set at NPR 351.61 for buying and NPR 353.17 for selling, while the Indian Rupee is priced at NPR 160 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed. The rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated exchange rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
